Scaffolding Portfolio Littlehampton
The professionalism of any good scaffolding company can be based on previous work examples so here are just a few of the jobs we’ve completed in Littlehampton.
Access scaffolding was required to the rear elevation of a property on South Street for roofing works due to a leaking valley. We built four lifts in total and included an internal ladder access with this structure to carry materials up to the working area.
A Worthing Road customer needed access to the rear elevation of the property to enable the removal of the plastic cladding and re-covered with coloured render. All lifts were boarded and handrailed for access to the works and included a ladder access point.
A national house builder contracted us to provide the access and loading areas for 98 new terraced houses and garages on Bluebell Drive. Three lifts of scaffold were built at stages with the external trades to roof level and then adapted for rendering and cladding works.
A local roofing company needed an access tower built to the side elevation of an Arundel Road property to renew the lead work around the collar of the chimney positioned on the gable end. This tower was erected down an alleyway and constructed to allow access in to the rear gardens.
Full scaffolding was constructed to the front and side elevation of an office building on Beach Road as the some of the roofing slates on the high level roof were blown off by adverse weather. On the top lift we used alloy beams to extend the top boarded lift out 2m past the end of the scaffold for added protection.
A small hanging scaffold was built on Wharf Road with a working platform 1m below the pedestrian deck for maintenance work to the rolling bearings. We use steel clamps to hang scaffold tubes down underneath the bridge and connected with 4m alloy beams to create a boarded and handrailed working area.
A new build bungalow and garage was being built by a self build customer on Gladonian Road and needed a base lift scaffold erected to the girth of the building to finish the external brickwork and install the new roof trusses and tiles.
A small social block of flats on Clifton Road needed scaffolding to re-paint the soffits, fascias and bargeboards on the front elevation. We provided a six board wide platform with all lifts boarded and handrailed and including debris netting to contain any dust whilst the preparation works were carried out.
Littlehampton is a place of interesting architecture, with grand, tall Victorian seafront buildings marking the landscape. Sussex Scaffolding have worked on many of these tall, gothic-like buildings, erecting access scaffolding including boarded lifts which enable the contractors to have working platforms so they have access to every different level of the building – vital on these 4 and 5 level houses. Thanks to our efforts, these buildings can be redecorated and renovated to keep Littlehampton looking splendid!
